Casual & Family Friendly Dining

Park City is one of the best family ski destinations in the country. Easy access from the airports, first class resorts, family-friendly terrain, lots of lodging options, and of course excellent restaurants make it the perfect ski town for your family. Following is our favorite casual and family friendly dining that takes into account restaurant ambiance, quality of kids menu, quality of adult entrees, value, and the overall experience for the  family.

Breakfast & Coffee Spots

Everyone knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day; so important that crappy coffee and cold eggs can put you on the wrong side of the bed no matter what side you really woke up on. That is why you need to have the perfect breakfast spot lined up before you head out for a day on the mountain! Here are our favorite 12 breakfast / coffee spots that we absolutely must visit each day before hitting the slopes:

Fine Dining

Park City is no ordinary small town, its high-altitude home to over 100 (many award-winning unrivaled) restaurants.  The old days of silver mining are long gone and what remains are the buildings along the historic Main Street, which house many of the fine restaurants which serve more tourists than locals.  Most have a rustic yet urban chic interior, such as Riverhorse on Main and Robert Redford's restaurant he opened in 1995, Zoom.  Some are more quaint, like Cafe Terigo, some sexy beautiful, such as Wahso, the Asian grille.  But the top restaurants in Park City all have one thing in common - great food due to the high standard of excellence expected in this exclusive resort town.  Following is a list of our favorites, click on names to be directed to the restaurant websites:

  • Yodipity Yogurt (Kearns)
  • I Love Moo (Redstone)
  • Cold Stone Creamery (Redstone)

Apres Ski & Dining

From après-ski to late night revelry, downtown Park City nightlife offers a myriad of options for those looking to tie it on after a day on the slopes. The late-night scene in downtown Park City is as good as the cruisers on the mountain, but, be warned, getting up early for fresh turns on the corduroy gets a lot harder after spending a late night in one of the buzzing night clubs in Park City.  There are classy clubs where Hollywood’s stars are bedecked in fur and put the “CITY” in Park City, and there are low-key locals where a flannel is considered dressy and whiskey and Pabst pour freely. Regardless of what you’re looking for during your night on the town, there’s a bar, night club, pub, or hotspot in Park City that will fit the bill.  Following is a list of our favorites, click on names to be directed to their websites:

Desert & Sweets

Theres nothing your belly, or your kids, don't crave more after a long day of skiing than sweets to treat your aching body.   And while a Snickers bar snagged from your local 7/11 heading up to the slopes might do the trick during the ski day, wouldn’t it be better to sink your teeth into something ooey, gooey delicious when you wrap up a long day on the slopes? We agree!  Here are a few of our favorite dessert spots in Park City that you have to try:
